Dror Benshetrit's new line of furnishings for Target launches this Sunday in Target stores. The New York Times asked the New York-based designer who runs Studio Dror to put together a shopping list of collapsible furnishings that would appeal to those of us with limited storage space...

• 2 Kada birchwood and metal stool by Yves Behar - $1,250 at Aviary.

• 4 Collapsible Notebook Grill by Direct Design - $60 at Conran Shop.
• 5 MUDDUS drop-leaf table from IKEA - $50-$60 (depending on color) at IKEA.

I just recently bought a Strida 5.0 off eBay for under $600 shipping - mainly because I wanted something less complicated and more compact than my lumbering 21-speed Hybrid
What a great bike - I can now ride to the office on Fridays (beating the bus) since I can fold the bike for the elevator ride up and stash it in a corner of my office - plus I can now hide it in the hall closet at home!

I like the examples, but it seems like most of the collapsible/foldable/etc furnishings are so expensive!

I have a Dahon folding bike, and I love it. there's a bunch of models but mine is the 20" wheels (better for NYC, much safer with all the potholes than the smaller wheel ones) and it cost me about $300 dollars when I got it several years ago. It folds in the corner of my very small closet!
