Allan Wexler's Chairs = Art
Ronald Feldman Fine Arts

How many ways can you alter a chair? Allan Wexler transforms ordinary chairs - which look like Ikea's Stefan chair and very well could be - into functional artwork that serve as "metaphors for human interaction."

Though the chairs are clean and precise, they seem surprisingly anthropomorphic and alive. The exhibition of Allan Wexler's chairs, drawings, and small constructions shows at Ronald Feldman Fine Arts in Soho through October 24, 2009. See more of Allan Wexler's art online on his website and the Ronald Feldman Fine Arts website.
