I took photos of the other art in my apt. I'd really appriciate if you at least put up Jenny Blankenship's work because I forgot to enter that in before. Jenny's work was a gift to me as well. The set of photos called myphotos.jpg were taken by myself.

Hawt! I actually hadn't voted on any of these yet; none of them really called out to me, although plenty were great. But the mishmash display is so well-balanced, it's eerie. And extra points for both cute boy and cute dog. Kudos! Your home must have awesome energy.

Looks great Katie - really fun and eclectic. I checked out your blog - very cool - the mister is adorable.

No using cute boyfriends and puppies to sway our votes. :) Still very nice.

Yeah, the photos really shouldn't have actual figures in them, but too late now. I'll never know exactly why I kind of like that wall now.

Yes actually that first one was taken in the summer and when I sent in the entry it was night and none of my photos were coming out right (as you can see, he has a different hair cut in both) and in the second one, well he just wouldn't move. Now I feel bad that they are in them. But thanks everyone.

Katie, great arrangement on the orange wall. More is more!

I love the way she's combined so many things in such harmony. And that orange wall rocks...I have a similar color in my bathroom and it's so toasty and chic!

I love the arrangement of the frames...you've achieved what I'd love to--somehow arranging disparate art together into a cohesive arrangement. Bravo!

Really great arrangement!

Katie, your portrait wall is awesome, I absolutely love how you've arranged everything. I've actually been trying to get a similar look with my own family portraits for a while now. Did you apply any specific method when you decided what to hang where?

And also by completely random coincidence, my mom has had an identical print of the foppish young man in the blue suit since I was about 10, I was never a big fan of it before (a little too english traditional for me), but I really like it in your context.

Danae - I started out with 6 pieces of art and kept on collecting. My original plan was the fill up the whole wall but one day I found myself hanging up the last few paintings I bought at a flea market and it looke complete. I guess it's all random with a littlest bit of planning. And The Blue Boy is a famous painting by Thomas Gainsborough, it just fit the area, thanks!

aha! famous Blue Boy huh? (blush) I guess I'm pretty much still an art amateur (one semester of art humanities down the drain)...

I like the large wall arrangement. To me, it's really about the decor and the finds rather than the art. However, to my eye, the arrangment is artistic and fun in and of itself. It doesn't take itself too seriously.
