OK, I'm confused. Are we limited to two pictures?

I rated this good because I'm torn between the other two responses.

Aesthetically, I love the bold black-white-gray scheme (could never live with it, but it's eye candy) and am thrilled by how the painting with the dogs appears almost luminous against the dark gray wall. My "tear out and keep inspiration" from this room is the power of light-saturated pale tones against a deep, deep gray.

Not to be a prude, but I'm deeply dismayed by nudes in the dining room. No doubt someone can provide the bon mot to summarize my reaction.

"So I was in the shower when the phone rang..." I'd echo Wende on the nude in the D.R. though I love the grey, and the dog works. I really don't like the color fields...just something about it. Maybe in the context of the entire space it works, but I can't really tell.

I used to work in an art gallery and I have to say that I'm surprised to see black paintings hanging in a home outside of the west coast. Most east coasters don't buy black paintings--its just something I've noticed, I don't know why. They're usually incredibly lush and can punctuate a collection nicely. Maybe its the photo, but these paintings feel too staid for my taste. I like the nude in the dining room, I think its a nice surprise, but the dogs? Really not for me.

i love the nude in the picture. and the placement is great. i thought it was a mirror reflecting a lady in the other part of the house. i do abstract nude drawings. it cause a response no matter where you put the piece. in the first 10 minutes there would be convo about it then it soon fades into the background. i've had children at my place and if you never mention it, they never notice. my drawings aren't as subtle as this painting.

I love the elegant simplicity of this apartment! I also like the black paintings and feel they have tremendous depth.

I've seen this apartment in person and it is really great!

I like it, but seriously, it took me a minute to realize that we weren't looking through a pass-through window into where the nude was, and I thought it was nude manaquin, or polychromed sculpture, because I didn't notice that last photo where it's clear that it's a painting.

Anyway... I kinda like it. But I think the phrase "at least" should have gone before the phrase "2 photos" so that everyone could have given more than 2 if this one was have this many more.

I really enjoyed looking at this space. I love the play of light and dark against each other which seems to nicely tie the space together. I also really like that the art styles are so varied but still look really well put together. A nude in the dining room doesn't bother me. Overall it seems like it would be both a really interesting space and a calming space to hang out in, which I think it can hard to achieve.

great job loved the color and balance . Simple elegance

I really like the black paintings against the grey walls, but I'm not wild about the other two paintings. I don't think the dog painting works there. Perhaps if it were over a fireplace...

And I'm not worried about Lee's 4 photos to my 2, although I would have sent a couple more, if I knew that 2 wasn't the limit.

So umm am I allowed to post my own art in my own interior? Considering I'm a painter and all.

Love the art work and overall feeling of this apartment. Interesting choice of colors, looks like it would be very comfortable to live in.

I have to confess that I'm surprised by how many "not my cups" there were -- I thought the AT crowd would love this. Just goes to show you can never predict what people like.

Out of all the pictures, I like the nude most -- and have zero problem with it in the dining room. After all, art should evoke a response. And it did! Personally, I'm not quite as wild about the black and the dogs (in that order), but they look great where they are. And I very much like the eclectic mix of things. If it were my house, I would be tempted to put some color in the living room. Overall, however, I really like this, and I admire Lee's confidence in mixing it up.

I have to agree with Zia in thinking that the AT crowd would have loved this apartment, I know I do. Lots of great design ideas here.

Are those Donghia klismos chairs at the table?! If so, you have my vote.

ps: LOVE art on colored walls.

Hi Patrick (the other one),

Thank you very much!
Yes they are Donghia Klismos chairs.

Looks wonderful - Lee's traditional-modern mix is a winner - however I would think classic is a more appropriate description.
