Who was your favorite contestant from the contest?:
My other favorite contestant was Dana because I like the way she arranged the pictures in her bathroom and it seemed really appropriate for the space (light, airy, and happy).
If you could change one thing in this room and money was no object, what would it be?:
Referring to initial submission wall: "If I could change one thing in this room and money was no object I'd get some kick-ass lights (from Eboniste) to illuminate the room/art better".
FOR MY OFFICE PICS
This is the workspace where I cruise AT (instead of working like I'm supposed to!). The photos (at top right) are mine and taken in Barcelona.
The long panoramic photo was taken with a disposable camera in the Black Hills, South Dakota (I keep that one up because it makes me happy and reminds me to get back to nature asap). The rocking sculpture lamp I bought in Venice. When lit it makes interesting patterns on the wall.
I LOVE NY! PICS
I Love NY! Art by Ron Albertson again. All drawn on location in New York City and Brooklyn (from left: Brooklyn water tower, Shipping Crane in Red Hook, Russian Orthodox Church - Williamsburg, NYC view from Williamsburg). These are silkscreen prints on canvas 6x12 and only $35 a pop. Contact me for more info.
Where can I get some of Ron Albertson's work? It's great!
Me too - very interested in Ron Albertson's work.
For anyone interested in Ron's artwork, just give me a call 718-369-6226 or email me and I'll put you in touch with Ron. There are many more to choose from (citytscapes, nature and portraits).
Thanks!
I love the artwork done by Ron Albertson. It's truly original.
I really love the one of the cathedral-looking building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, second from the right. I recognized it right away. Plus, it's new and classic looking at the same time, which is a pretty killer combo. The one of Midtown Manhattan on the far right is probably my second favorite, but they are all great.
I LOVE Ron Albertson's work. Its amazing. Please if you could send me his email address or website, I would greatly appreciate it. I am very intereseted in purchasing some of his work.
I am interested in purchasing more of Ron Albertson's work as well. I have poster size screenprints Ron drew in this same style which are two of my favorite pieces by anyone in my possesion. His loose hand provides amazing dynamics while the imagery is contained and left hanging in a space which can be meditative or haunting depending on the color he decides to use. $35 for anything by Ron Albertson is an absolute steal!
I love how you place the artwork above the chair with the plant. I also like that lamp next to the computer and the cool photos. They're very interesting and demonstrate you have an unique eye for design. You're also very holistic and creative with your placement of art objects within the room.
Your photographs must very inspirational for graphic design! They're beautiful.
Ron's work is (as always) stunning and precise. It's difficult for an artist to express such attention to detail and still be able to communicate the overall structure and depth of a subject. His unpretentious nature makes the works very accessible.
Love these pics of the silkscreens. Gives a much better sense of their impact. Very nice!
Not my cup of tea. The art in this entry seems a bit boring to me. Sorry.
These are all great, but i'm in love with the cityscape to the far right. the texture and detail Albertson has created in his linework is beatiful. Combined with his choice to print white atop black, the piece presents us with a truly unique vision of the Manhattan skyline at night. This is very tasteful, very expertly simplistic art that could lighten any living space.
Again, i have to echo a lot of the other comments here regarding the Albertson art work - i'm especially jealous of the Orthdox church print, as it's been a favorite local landmark of mine for years, and it's beautifully captured through Albertson's expert draftsmanship. Additionally, the curatorial eye and stylistic flair with which the rooms and settings are arranged balances both fully modern interior design sensibilities with elegance and restraint that results in some ultra-classy living environs. A+ all around.
