With a bright "no clutter" icon and all the useful information well organized on the front, we think she might just be as good as she looks. Goodbye Clutter, her company name, also has a useful website that includes testimonials, contact info and a full description of all the kinds of problems she can help solve, such as filing systems, photographs or collections of any kind. She is not only a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, she also belongs to a group we had never heard of: National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization. Yikes! Contact her for prices.

While we don't know Nancy Heller, we are putting her out there and inviting your reviews if you know her. Please comment below and help build the library... MGR

Here is my belated recommendation for Nancy Heller. If you need a jumpstart and a cheerleader to get you going with your decluttering she's the right person. Very upbeat and energetic. It may not be what everyone needs, but a couple of months ago (spring/early summer 2005) it helped me immensely to get her assistance. While I had too much clutter to sort and dispose of in one session (and have admittedly backslid a bit since her visit) her helpful assessment, suggestions and positive attitude and encouragment reinvigorated my efforts.

Nancy is amazing: thorough, creative, encouraging, kind. I almost cancelled a zillion times in the week before she was due to arrive--right up to the morning of. There can be a lot of emotional issues in "stuff," and although I'd liked her in our initial meeting and subsequent phone chats, I somehow imagined she'd be insistant and heavy-handed when it came to the sentimental items I was on the fence about. But no. No judgments, no eye-rolling, not a hint of impatience. And she's so ingenious about ways to organize.

I'd recommend her wholeheartedly.
