Clever Hook by Linden International

06.15.cleverhook.jpg

In a pinch, the Clever Hook by Linden of Sweden will hang anything weighing up to 40 lbs. The design of the hook makes it pinch harder depending upon the weight of the object hanging from it.

And it eliminates the need for loops on clothing and towels. Instead, material is just placed in the "pincers" and is grabbed. We love this transparent model, happily showing off its smart mechanics.

The Clever Hook can be purchased here for $12 each.

The look of the clever hook is just an unfortunate successor of the bedbug post.

It's too ugly for inside.

Seems like it might be handy in the garage though.

The force of gravity is usually enough for the kind of stuff that I hang on hooks...

It is ugly (and that's a funny bedbug comment!), but functionally it reminds me of the Lumb-r-grip hook, which digs into a wooden beam harder, the more weight you hang on it. (I think I saw it first here, a year or two ago, and I bought a package of them, and they were great. I use them in my basement to hang bicycles.)

It must be really late, but I don't see how this would work in action....
