Casegoods range greatly in price and quality. Through our own experience with a previous model of a four-drawered chest, we've found Crate & Barrel combines an approachable price point with a decent quality level in their "ready to assemble" furnishings. Generally more solid and longer-lasting than similar dressers and chests from IKEA, the Cole family of casegoods is an attractive solution (at a moderate price) for clothing storage...
With their recessed/shingled fronts and lack of hardware, the styling of both the Four Drawer Chest and the Six Drawer Dresser remind us of Terence Woodgate's Sussex cabinets and casegoods available from Design Within Reach.
These casegoods are made from a dark brown stained Birch veneer. The Four Drawer Chest measures 35"W x 19"D x 40"H and sells for $449. The Six Drawer Dresser measures 58"W x 20"D x 32.5"H and costs $549.
The Cole collection also includes beds, a nightstand, two mirrors and a bench.

I agree with AT and I can’t wait to actually see its finish and construction in person. I’ve had my eye on this dresser for a while now, but unfortunately, they are on back order (as of about 3 weeks ago). First I was told by C&B that it would be available in November, then December and I think last I heard end of January. Apparently these are manufactured in China and C&B has not been satisfied with the finish, which is why the product isn’t available yet.

You're welcome Aaron. I only inquired over the phone about the 6-drawer model, but I looked online and both sizes are on backorder for my zip in So Cal. (It also says available "early January.")

I like this line... except for those ugly flared/tapered feet. I wonder if these feet can be swapped with the metal feet sold by Ikea. CB hacking is the next big thing!

We just purchased the Cole bed. It's great! It was so easy to put together and we are very impressed with the cost-to-quality ratio.

I think the set forward/set back drawer fronts would drive me crazy. I can't stand when dresser drawers aren't shut all the way, and from the picture, these look like partially opened drawers.
