Flip-Flop Bins at Viva Terra

06.15.flipflopmat2.jpg

Leftovers made useful. These Flip Flop Bins are made of leftover flip-flop material that is generally thrown away as waste by sandal manufacturers. A metal wire threads through the links of flip-flop, creating a mesh of recycled material that can be wiped clean, or even hosed down.

The bins come in a set of two, one small (7"D x 14"H) and one large (12"D x 12"H). Check out AT:Chicago's post that showed us a Flip Flop Door Mat made of the same material.

Now that's really cute!! And I hate flip flops so it's nice to see them serve some practical use.

They are cool, but over $65 each seems steep.

The look cute, but the idea of basically taking $135 and putting it into the trash? Come on!
