GRANEMO Glass Door Cabinet

9-20-granemo-ikea-shelf.jpg

Display! IKEA has added a lot of glass-doored shelves and cabinets lately. The new GRANEMO shelf is comparable to the new LINNARP that we looked at a few weeks ago. Though wider than the LINNARP, the GRANEMO features sliding doors a great alternative to outwardly swinging doors in small spaces...

The GRANEMO costs $389 and is currently only available in white.

Width: 63 "
Depth: 15 3/4 "
Height: 68 1/2 "

How funny you should post about this! We are planning to remodel our kitchen and use all IKEA cabinetry and furniture. I was debating between buying this unit and the Linnarp one. We will be using it to display dishes. Doe anyone have a recommendations on which one to buy? Thanks!

Granemo = Very Nice
R&B ad between comments and the posting field = annoying.

Fell in love with this thing as soon as I spotted it in the catalog; am over IKEA, but will definitely be purchasing the GRANEMO.

I love this too...I've been wanting a sliding door cabinet for awhile...I just wish it weren't white. I think I'll have to take a closer look at them in the store (also considering the linnarp)

At first I was excited about the new Ikea piece, but then I got to see it at the store last weekend. It looks great from a distance, but as you get closer, you notice that the doors don't have mass or substance to them and seem to warp a bit when you try to slide them. If this is going to be in a heavy use area, like a kitchen, I'd look for something a bit sturdier. Crate and Barrel had a similar piece a couple of years ago called The Hudson. They might still be offering it.
