It expands and contracts according to the amount of dirty laundry you have to store. The Marie Pi Laundry Hamper was designed in Germany by SWID Design. It's made of a canvas bag within a flexible wooden frame that closes up to 8" diameter and expands out to 24" diameter...
The attraction for us is that this could stow away completely at the top of the "laundry week" and expand out only as needed. There is a range of fabric selections available, so go ahead and match it to your home. It also looks like there are a few different wood finishes available, too.
