Open and shut, this screen/shelf by Christopher Douglas for Material Furniture is super cool. The screen has circular openings in it that are hinged and adjustable. Open some and use them as shelves, close others for more privacy.

It's made of 3/4" birch plywood with a maple or walnut veneer finish. It ships flat (and for free) from re:modern.

$1800 for this finish. $1950 for walnut.
MrGreen likes this and hopes that it is made of environmentally-responsible plywood.

Oh, MrGreen forgot to point out that it is worth visiting the Material Furniture website just to see the photo of the lesbians fighting (or playing pony?) on the flokati rug in front of the fireplace. This is, unfortunately, an all-too-frequent occurrence that could be easily prevented with regular counseling.

MrGreen, those two women are lesbians? Wow! How did you determine this? Your skills far surpass mine in making critical judgements. BTW since when does sexual orientation become a design point to comment on?

Mason, MrGreen will accept any valid criticism, but you have to actually *read* his comments before engaging your fingers on the keyboard if you want to make valid criticism.
Putting words in his mouth and then reacting hysterically seems to be a popular past-time lately.
MrGreen did not "comment on" "sexual orientation" as a "design point" nor did he imply that "sexual orientation" should "become a design point to comment on".

Speaking of "regular counseling"...

OK tin_angel. I hate to say it but I think I am starting to "fall" for MrGreen.

Mason, MrGreen finds it endearing that 5 out of your last 6 posts include his name and appreciates you making the effort to spell it properly, unlike some of his other detractors.
However, MrGreen is disappointed that you did not find the wrestling lesbians photo amusing.
