The Milan Furniture Fair began yesterday, and tons of new designs are hitting the web. One that has shown up and made us want MORE is Shay Alkalay's Stack drawer unit for Established & Sons. Alkalay has recently impressed us with his Pivot Cabinet and Attachez Drawer. With Stack, the designer celebrates the beauty of a drawer left open...
Stack units are available in two color schemes and as an 8-drawer or 13-drawer unit. At this point, we're uncertain of the scale of the drawers or even how they are prevented from toppling over (the drawers can be opened from either side). To answer my own question about scale...Core77 has some pictures from the furniture fair that show the 13-drawer unit to be just under 6' tall.

That is so cool...I'm dying to see one in person. Love the one robins egg/seafoam drawer in the red colorway. Any idea on pricing or availability? Or should I just keep this in the realm of fantasy?

With the Pivot, price available upon request from manufacturer. That usually means it's in the realm of fantasy for all but the trust fund babies and tech moguls. From the scale in those pictures, the stack is probably not for small spaces.
