04.18.step1.jpgThese can function as storage, room dividers, and kitty steps. The step chests at Green Tea Design are fashioned after traditional Japanese designs. They're available in a range of hardwoods and you can choose from several different door and drawer pulls.

Most of the cabinets are made of a combination of doors and drawers, providing ample varied storage.

I love traditional Japanese furniture and always wanted a step chest - mistly for my kitties to play on...

The cabinet design is almost identical to my antique Japanese step chest. Looks nice, but I prefer the charm of the wood of the originals.

If this is the same Green Tea that's based in Toronto, then it's the same shop I bought a couple of antique Korean chests some years ago.

These are beautiful, and I've wanted one for years. But when it says "call for a quote" I know it's beyond my means.
