Unlike most space-saving, coffee-to-dining tables, this one doesn't raise: it flips. Starting as a low coffee table on a solid base, the dining table legs flip out to reveal six stools for seating. With the legs flipped up, the table is at dining height. Treehugger describes the table's green aspects below:
The table earns bonus points for its smart storage of the available cork dining stools -- six can be stored underneath the coffee table and popped out for seating at the dining table -- and for its sustainable materials; it employs cork for the stools and Forest Stewardship Council-certified European walnut or oak for the table. The combination of materials and multi-functional design makes it one of the better options we've seen for sustainable seating.
the aesthetic is a bit young for me, but a great piece all round none the less

I like the idea of a convertible table. I wonder how comfortable the stools are, but something like this would be an ideal space-saver.
