For me, color is very important when buying anything, electronics included. As far as my boyfriend goes though, it could be puke green with peach stripes and if it did what he needed it to do, he'd buy it. Not surprisingly, I'm a Mac person, he's PC.

I buy Macs for the style, but my TV is the standard black/silver combo. I suppose if I could get a tv that matched my apartment decor, I'd jump on it, but I don't particularly stress about it.

yes all my electronics have to pass my personal form and function test. i always buy sony tv's so my new flat screen is the model with the floating clear panel in silver.

YES! It completely does matter and it really, really bugs me that electronics manufactures other than Apple haven't figured out that aesthetic is nipping at the heels of function when it comes to what makes me want something.

absolutely, color and design are very important when I'm making an electronics decision. I also go for wireless and combos whenever possible to avoid wires and media centers. I don't have cable TV mainly because I can't stand all of the thick cords wrapping all over the place. I agree with splatgirl - Apple gets it! I don't know why Dell and others just can't get it right.

Absolutely - maybe I am type A - but everything we put in a space has been thought about. The "look" we are trying to convey, so yes computers, monitors, ipod speaker systems, regular speakers...they are chosen on how well they work and how good they look :>) and if they fit with the room.

Form follows function in this case - but it is still very important to me - I would pick a good looking appliance over an ugly one even if it performed a bit lesser than the ugly one.

Though I wouldn't pick a hideous appliance, I am picky about color.

Luckily, I like black, so I'm happy with my laptop and television. It's harder to find coffeepots and blenders and the like at times, though.
