I can almost see the detailed blueprints/directions with a the little right way versus wrong way human figures throughout the directions. Oh the wonderfully morbid possibilities of the "wrong way" scenarios.
So, do these kits come with giant sized hex-tools (or whatever those little bent metal rod tools IKEA asembly relies on are called)?

Love those rugs, but showing them flat, out of context, the great (in all senses) scale of them is a little lost.
I think our ability to zoom in on computer images and in photo editing programs is behind this surge in the scale of pattern. And I think we like the familiarity of pattern, but don't want the fussiness or visual hum of it in its original scale.

I had to use the Eraser on a client's hallway walls after movers left marks on them. The walls were painted in flat paint and as I rubbed the Eraser on the wall the paint came off as well. So be careful where you use them and how hard you rub. Otherwise, I have them in the apt. at all times. I love them!

Soooooooo....will the IKEA house wobble, like their chairs?
I've had trouble with those Magic Erasers. My advice would be don't use them on painted surfaces at all! My Magic Eraser rubbed off an entire patch of oil-based melamine paint on my counter, and it's made patchy, different-textured spots on my latex-painted walls...especially the coloured paint. I didn't rub very hard, either. Bleh. I've had less problems with a real eraser!

Yeah, I wonder if, after a year or so, the houses fall apart. I guess at least you don't have to move them, right? There would be screws all over the place if that were the case.
Ditto with the magic erasers. They have power. Use them wisely.

Love my Magic Eraser, love it, love it! But all my paint is latex, and it's about eight layers thick in Kelly-Moore Frost (ah, the joys of renting!). What I want to know is the source of all the spots I use it on. (Gremlins?)
