I had purchased a SlimFit TV - but returned it after I noticed severe distortion (compression) at the edges, and in some sources (PS2 component, for example) - I'd get color overfill from the edges (in this case, a bright green.) I promptly returned it, and for a few hundred more, picked up a projector. (Hey, if space is a premium...) I higly recommend the InFocus SP4805.

Dave was yours the model with the speakers on the side (TX-R3079) or the other one (TX-R3080)

I read that the one with the speakers on the side had more of a distortion problem

I bought one of these TVs and quickly returned it - the same distortion and color problems. For $50 more I bought a larger screen 32 inch LCD television from Costco. Not as many features, but it takes up less space and weighs about 50 lbs. vs. the Samsung's 150 lbs.

Hi New T. - I had the TX-R3079. It was really awful - very distracting. I was about to live with it, then I fired up the component connection (HDMI was 'fine', insofar..) but that's when the ugly green creep started...
