Max's Magical Room
From Ohdeedoh: Our site that covers modern homelife with children

NY-max-room.jpgOur readers' favorite nursery tour this past week was of Max's room, which is a perfect example of getting the most out of your space. Max’s mom Katie tells us, "The biggest thing with a small room is organization. Everything has a place in his room, from the bugs to the blocks."

Other hot posts on Ohdeedoh include a patchwork wall, some astounding treehouses, a roundup of the best video cameras, and a first look at Baby Gap's foray into nursery decor... all below the jump.

NY-Gap.jpgWe checked out Baby Gap Home's inaugural product line and presented our best picks, but readers had mixed feelings about the franchise's offerings.

NY-video-cameras.jpgVideo cameras have come a long way since we were kids. See our top picks for documenting your little one, and please share yours!

NY-treehouses.jpgRemember when treehouses were lovingly put together over the course of a few weekends by dad or grandpa? Nowadays, German company Baumraum specializes in these lofty aeries and has built them all over Europe and South America. Many are built as exhibitions on the grounds of museums, but some serve as mini-getaway spaces for families.

NY-patchwork-wall.jpgHere's one for the inspiration file: One wall of this colorful, happy baby's room is papered with a patchwork of wallpapers that's a lively backdrop for a sweet antique crib, a modern striped rug and green walls. It all adds up to an adorable baby's room without an ounce of preciousness.

In addition to our regular posts about home life and design with kids, as part of Escapes Month we're also posting readers' photos of their little ones on vacation. If you think you can handle a potential cute overload, head over to Ohdeedoh.

The nursery is charming, but there's no way in hell I'd put my child in that kind of crib. Wow... very unsafe!

Then again, I'm gonna be a first-time parent, so maybe I'm over reacting...
