Remember when treehouses were lovingly put together over the course of a few weekends by dad or grandpa? Nowadays, German company Baumraum specializes in these lofty aeries and has built them all over Europe and South America. Many are built as exhibitions on the grounds of museums, but some serve as mini-getaway spaces for families.
Here's one for the inspiration file: One wall of this colorful, happy baby's room is papered with a patchwork of wallpapers that's a lively backdrop for a sweet antique crib, a modern striped rug and green walls. It all adds up to an adorable baby's room without an ounce of preciousness.

The nursery is charming, but there's no way in hell I'd put my child in that kind of crib. Wow... very unsafe!
