    "puts the bird to sleep"

Anyone else get a morbid visual reading that part?

    Now I do.

I was too busy obsessing about the Chinese character pillows to get to the cuckoo clock. (Trying to calculate whether it would be more efficient to find a friend with a sewing machine or just wait for the knock-offs to hit Target.)

Eh. Not thrilled with the idea of Chinese character pillows, personally -- I like the fun shapes and I think it's a cute idea, but the whole "Other languages are pretty and exotic!" thing can be badly abused. (A worthwhile source is hanzismatter.com, which tracks misspellings and missteps in Asian character tattoos.)
    Just my two cents.

Ooh -- the hanzismatter.com link is great!

Actually, I was pondering the potential of choosing pillows that have smutty or bizarre meanings, to see if any visitors catch it. Given my neighborhood, Hindi pillows might make more sense anyway.

I love the Chinese characters pillows! I've been trying to teach my husband Chinese and have been looking for fun visuals -- these are perfect. Is there a way I can order them?
