...oh, that just made me so nostalgic for the flatware I stole (sorry!) from an Iberia Airlines flight I took to Barcelona. The set (knife, spoon, fork) were so compact and sleek, and had the Iberia logo on the end. I could not resist. After a dozen years and as many moves, I think the knife may be the only piece I have left. So sad!
Wow... don't spill anything on that coffee table! Yikes! There go your books...
The knives must be W A Y before my generation (no offense!) ...
Instead, they remind me a lot of those really cool Mundial knives my chef-student friend has(he's obsessed with Food Network and apparently they're there)

... but airplane eating utensils NOT plastic?!?! Unheard of.
That coffee table has always given me fits. How many innocent book-spines must be torn assunder in the name of snazzy design? I find the hanging shelves much more civilized.
me too! I get queasy looking at it...
Ouch! You're right! Maybe if you subscribed to a lot of magazines...
The hanging ones look cool, but y'know, my cheap, fake InterMetro shelves from Lowe's fit *under* a normal-height closet rod and provide a heck of a lot more storage with the same black-metal industrial look.
The BBQ Set is cute until some kid pokes his/her eye out with the fork.... those puppies are sharp! Dang!
I am so glad someone else commented on how lousy that coffee table is for the books. It seems like when book-storage items come from "designers" (that is, ones wanting to make a splash at shows and get into magazines), 90%+ of them are really bad for the structural integrity of the books. Book storage has evolved to where it is today because of trial and error over time and because of the physical characteristics of books - IE, for example, there are many ways of stressing out the spine, which is undesirable; this table is just one. Most book-storage "innovations" are so disappointing.
(My new solution: getting rid of some books, more than I initially planned. If I haven't read it since 1990 and don't feel compelled to read it again now, I probably don't need it. I do still need the research library, though.)
