eXtra-eXtra-Small House by Dekleva Gregoric Arhitekti: You have to click through and look at the other pics, as this small holiday home is a minimalist fantasy.
•
Cordless LED Touch Light: While we sense that Joe was baiting us with the cashmere throw, we saw that ploy and went for these cooler LED lights. Takes aaa batteries, are bright, last forever and mount with velcro. LED is going to take over the world.
•
Rustic lamps and Duck Shades: Saw these via Product Dose and had to link to them. These are like hula girl dashboard figurines....if this is your style, then it's pure gold as a resource.

Mod Holiday rental apartments in Spain: How does Mod Mom find this stuff?
•
design boner: They "lust for dishware, color, DIY, photography, front doors, "..... We met the editors of this brand new blog, Porcelain and Cardboard, last night at the party. Formica is joining them soon. While it's just getting off the ground, watch out for these girls as they find the biggest design boners around...

Electrici-tree by Vahakn Matossian: Molded to look like a tree branch, these organic power strips can be linked together to heighten the branching effect.
Writer's Almanac:
•POEM: selections from "Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood," by William Wordsworth.
I am going to start a blog about bad design called "yeast infection."

The extra-small house is an interesting sculpture of sorts, but I can't imagine being jammed into that place in the winter. It's Slovenia...not an easy winter there.
P2, which item is the above post responding to?
P2 - :)
Unfortunately, it looks like Electrici'tree is for the UK only. It's design is even more inspired considering inherent limitations of the UK's large outlet size.
The cordless LED touch light looks like a decent alternative to hard-wiring under-cabinet lighting for the kitchen. At 10 bucks a pop, I may just give them a try and see if they aren't too cheesy in my real-life application...
I found the English description of that little-little house. It's a vacation place for people who have a home in the country, which explains a lot. It backs up my suspicion that it's easy to be a minimalist if you have more than one house. I'd bet anyhting that the country house is full of warm, welcoming furniture, and the usual clutter of daily living.
Pat--
Design Boner.
You should know I can never pass up a boner. Wait.
struggling... joke about design boner and large outlet sizes... argh!
am i the only one who sees little faces on the electrici-tree? they looks like skinny, colorful, blobby ghosts.
Oh my good gracious, DB makes it to the Big Apple! Pressure's on now. Thanks for the slink, though. We'll blog furiously to make you proud.
ps. Maxwell's a pretty nice guy!
P2: possibly the funniest post ever.
