That headboard rocks my world. I've been looking for a new bed off and on, that one is worth investigating.
wow...really like the design of that headboard. that just makes good sense.
Hmmm, not sure that that is the best design for a head board. If you have the space either side for the shelving in its extended position then you may as well have nightstands there.
A better design IMO, would be to have the shelving rise up like those plasma tv lifts that you can get for the base of your bed. Of course it would probably need to be motorized so would be expensive but it is a better space saving solution.
i had a similar thought to jamie pup. it's cool and all, but not necessarily space saving. you lose more than a foot across the width of the bed, AND there's the outward extending storage to contend with.
i also hate hate hate formica veneered furniture. it looks cheap. not modern. not elegantly minimalist. just cheap. it's what has kept me away from the malm bed over all this time no matter how much i generally like the look.
