That bamboo light fixture is really nice; it's abstract and spherical but with a natural element that softens it up. Very, very 2006 Pier One, as opposed to old Pier One (although it doesn't seem to come from there at all).

re that chic garden bench ... I’ve seen this at the gift shop at the Scandinavian Society headquarters on Park Avenue. Alas, though beautiful, the seat wobbles like mad when you sit on it. Very uneasy-making design.

I love the Electrolu's 'war-on-white' edition. I'm wondering if you can buy them in Europe.

Electrolux, what are you thinking? Are some of those fridges actually lit up? You should be designing appliances that use less electricity, not more. If it's a war on white, what about just a range of PLAIN colours?
