I think those book shelves are whimsical, and wonderful... in a world where wonderful means that you want make a wall that looks as if books are completely stacked from floor to ceiling.
I'm a chemistry prof and am totally in love with that light fixture.
From a chemical-structure perspective, that modular form with the tetrahedral junctures looks nothing like DNA....but *exactly* like simple hydrocarbons (alkanes).
I send the link around to my colleagues and other chem geek buddies and it's generated a lot of excitement. Hey, it's a niche market, but it's a market!
