They can be called as gas/microvens bigger than required to heat food - definitely it does not serve the purpose of cooking food even for 2, let apart for a family of 4. We will have to be eating out all the time and encouraging kids to eat out than helping them to make correct choices in the kitchen.
We can call these kitchenlets

We can call these kitchenlets. Something merely meant for heating when you are hungry and if there is something in the kitchenlette - that is if there is space for anything ?!
Minimalism has come down disrespect of space and function. Common designers - what were you thinking when you designed this ?

The battery votive just doesn't do it for me. Nothing beats the ambience of a real candle....which btw would be much cheaper than buying a bunch of 9V batteries!

But Food Choice, many a "gourmet" kitchen is used only to microwave leftovers -- the stainless steel, granite, and miles of cabinetry was all for looks.
There are people who cook well with a kettle and a hotplate. There are people who can do all the prep for a catering job in a kitchen roughly the size of a suburban kitchen island. I suspect many of us have cooked a holiday dinner in an urban kitchen with less than two linear feet of counter.
It's not the size of the kitchen; it's what you do with it.

I tried to get info to buy one of these but they do not have US pricing available yet. Sometimes it is frustrating to see these products but not be able to buy them.
