Walmart?

I'm all for affordability, but you're aware of their business practices, right? It's disappointing that you would promote the company in any way.

That lamp is such a Jonathan Adler ripoff!

wow, i am kinda shocked. i totally agree with azra. i am really disgusted that you would promote wallmart on your site.

The good/bad mail organizer is kind of cool.

The lap pillows are creepy and misogynistic, but there's lots of other furniture made to look like disembodied bits of women, if that's your taste.

Count me as another disappointed reader.

I see the PC police are out in full force.

I've seen pillows that are disembodied pieces of men--the trunk and one arm, dressed in a pajama top, so you can snuggle up with "him" and go to sleep. So don't worry, everyone gets to be objectified.

I'd love a more detailed explanation about how a dorky pillow is misogynistic. Now if it were breasts or if the pillow's ass stuck up in the air maybe I could see that.

I'm usually the first to roll my eyes at this kind of thing, but I agree with the comments about Wal Mart. All you have to do is rent the documentary "The High Cost of Low Price". Design budgets be damned--there are better ways of decorating for less.

how can you trumpet Walmart things and the Service Artisanal Agadez Cooperative in the same thread?
It's like people in here who still show off the precious things they still find at Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie.
but my home/any home is full of non p.c. things/produced from unfortunate or really fucked up circumstances, so it's wrong to point fingers?

can you explain, it's clear that enough of us would like to know.

etslee,
it is not just PC issue stuff for some of us
(avoiding companies that have negative impact on our actual lives)
