• Oh, wow, this is really cute:
Isaac Mizrahi bedding at Target.
• Our
type of stool: the stackable
Sit Stool by Ross McBride.
• Artist Kirsten Hassenfeld's
paper gem sculptures
• The
AVL Shaker Square Dining Table by Joep van Lieshout has it all: it's small, functional, beautiful, and affordable.
The 'Sit Stool' by Ross McBride is very familiar. I think it was first done by a Japanese school girl in fibreglass and featured in 'mocoloco' a couple of years back?
Did a little research. The 'sit stool' by Ross McBride is actually the 'FUNkey' by either Alex Garnett or Nahoko Koyama of UK's Mixko as featured in mocoloco in December 2003.

Or is it?
I love those paper gem sculptures.
I looked at this furniture the day DWR began selling it. DWR doesn't usually cut prices this dramatically - but they have with this item. I feel there may be a reason why.
I have happily owned that table for about 2 months (same price) -- it is very sturdy and well made.
The AVL line is being discontinued. We recently bought the full dining table in Oak from DWR and it is very sturdy. Can't figure out why they are discontinuing it. What size is this square version? I don't find it on the website.
