anyone else see things way too big going through that very pretty drain? Disaster waiting to happen - unless your kitchen doesn't get used for anything other than looking good...

I am not usually one to call out designy items as being too overpriced, but I draw the line at an $83 sink drain.

I don't spend enough time staring at my drain to justify that price.

Usually I'm not surprised by high prices because I already identify certain places as being expensive but when I went into this store I was blown away. Wow! They don't hold back. I remember this really cool plate that had a really big rim and lots of little holes in it for hundreds of dollars.

That kitchen strainer isn't very practical though. I wonder, is this company also a design studio? Their store in SF had people working at desks in a little loft area of the store which leads me to believe maybe they are. At least it would help to justify higher prices.

Rose and Radish is also a gallery, and I think a design studio is attached.

DIY: if you locate a company that makes kitchen drains, I bet you could talk them into selling you a drain before the holes were punched in it. Then you could drill the holes yourself in your own pattern.
