I LOVE the hole-punch portrait. I think this has the potential to be the next design craze for the next few years. I wonder if it is patented...

However, I'm not quite understanding the Niina Aalto Everyday Sunday cup holders. The point of drinking out of plastic cups is that formal/expensive/fragile cups would be impractical. So why bother placing plastic cups within formal/expensive/fragile cup holders? Why not just drink out of the cup holders?

nobody wants to wash the cups.

...but you still have to wash the cup holders too!

It's just more of the self-conscious irony that has become so deeply tedious.

The Aeron task chair as a lounge is brilliant idea, I would love to have one of them to put my feet up when I am on the phone for hours.

I logged-on to also say why would you need a cup-holder with a plastic cup - why not just use a glass or a mug? - its all so pointless and pretentious

Plastic cups are usually used when you're getting a drink somewhere outside - like if someone offers you water when you're at a meeting in someone elses office - are you supposed to take your cup holder with you? - surely people don't use plastic cups at home??

These cup holders would be beautiful made into drinking vessels in their own right
