I'm a fan of converted spaces, but I think they just went way overboard with the church. I mean, why moving into a church space if you are going to eliminate every last vestige of the church's infrastructure- the organ, the altar, stained glass, etc. With this kind of renovation, they may as well have renovated an abandoned strip mall.

hejiranyc, it's funny to me that you think that they've removed the church elements. My first thought was that it's surprising that it still looks so much like a church. But, then again, this place is in my home state and I know that this is a stock-standard protestant church. They are typically low on ornamentation. IF there was an organ, there's a good chance that it was removed by whichever church owned it.
What I do find scary is the price ... converted to US dollars, it is still over a million big ones. Yeowch! I guess I'll be staying in Boston for a while longer.
