We looked at a Parisian apartment where children's art takes center stage over at Ohdeedoh this week.
Find more from Ohdeedoh below including the Snille visitor chair from Ikea, a Marimekko sale featuring fun fabrics, and a round-up of some of the more attractive accessories available right now at Urban Outfitters.
We're liking the clean look and fun colors of the Snille Visitor Chair from Ikea. For $19.99, we might grab a few of these. (They stack for storage)
Always Mod is having a Marimekko sale until July 15th. We found lots of kid-friendly items like bibs, bedding, and fabrics.
The printed glass birdee hook and punch lanterns in green and blue over at Urban Outfitters are both under $15.
I'm excited about that Snille chair. Seems like a good low-budget solution to me Eames Shell Chair dreams inspired by this: http://gallery.apartmenttherapy.com/photo/042408emmy/emmy1

When my son was small I bought several of those cheap poster frames with the edges that slide on and off, and a piece of white poster board as backing for each. I'd display the artwork he brought home from school, rotating frames, so each piece was displayed for a couple of weeks. He loved seeing his creations on the walls and I loved seeing his little face light up, and how proud he was to point out to visitors that he was the artist.

When my son was in preschool a few years ago, I picked up three shadowbox frames and used them for collages he had done. Even though the materials are things like bottle caps, painted popsicle sticks and scraps of fabric, in the frames they look surprisingly good. A while back, he wanted to keep them in his bedroom, and I paid him $10 so I could have them "on permanent loan" in my living room.
