Bio: Alec is AT's Los Angeles editor when he is not teaching and helping clients with their interiors.

HELLO, Mister Holland! :)
patrick, every time i read your HELLOs i crack up (out loud)! the repetition is what's working for me, i think.
side note: looks like a great, diverse group of judges.
it will be surreal if p2 becomes a judge, and then he'll have to say, "HELLOOOO...."
pphillipp - don't you think p2 already says HELLOOO every morning and every night? ;)
oh, gosh, i knew someone had to go there, but i just knew it wasn't going to be me........!
(thank you for making me laugh like a fool at my desk)
What does Mr. Holland teach? Is he writing Mr. Holland's opus?
I second the comment re the diversity of the judges on board. I don't know how they are going to decide this thing what with all the great-but-different entries and all of their great-but-different approaches!
Maybe we can all watch them slug it out via webcam!
Jennifer--
You saved me from making an inappropriate opus joke.
NO, WRESTLING! I'll provide the singlets.
You mean like Maximus in Gladiator? Cool, will Russell Crowe come? (Just no booze or telephones allowed in the coliseum with that one!)
I think your inappropriate opus joke would have been a lot more fun than my corny one!
Although pphillipp may have been joking when he asked how p2 would greet himself if he were a judge, I think it would be a great idea to have p2 as a judge. He always has very insightful things to say. However, it might be a bit awkward to ask him now (if hasn't already been invited to judge) since he's already commented on lots of the entries. Perhaps in the future, establish a tradition in which the winner(s) from the previous year gets to be a judge of the following year.
(Slowly pulling down top like Coco in Fame) Please dont make me put on the singlet
-Alec (The shockingly good looking judge with the photo that clearly doesn't do him justice seriously, Ive seen him in person he is STUNNING)
Alec--
You move instantly to the next wrasslin' round for the hilarious Fame reference and the uncanny Irene Cara (virtual) impersonation.
We knew we liked you. Just from the noble profile.
k--
I've shown some of my cards.. but haven't revealed my full hand... :)
"(Slowly pulling down top like Coco in Fame)..."
how am i going to get any work done today if you people keep making me laugh like this??!!
brilliant! but do *you* have a recording (on vinyl) of irene cara's off-broadway debut, at age 9, in "the me nobody knows"? *i* do!
(oh, and btw - in the picture on the sleeve, she does NOT HAVE MINI-BANGS - the only time, i think, in her entire career)
pphillipp,
did you have to mug her mama for that?
you boys are sick!
and p2, are you hinting that you are a featured judge afterall? right on!
guido, i assure you that no caras were harmed in the procurement of said disc. well, at least not *seriously* harmed.
guido--
So far, I am limited to effecting the voting outcome in the American politics kind of way...
That is, sneakily, with oh-so-subtle manipulation, and strictly from behind the scenes. ;)
And Alec, we'll need five "scouting shots' of you in singlet-inspired attire asap.
I'll be "reviewing them" as dj pphilllip spins Fame hits like Red Light, Dogs in the Yard and of course, I Sing the Body Electric.
you forgot "out here on my own" -
YOU FORGOT "OUT HERE ON MY OWN"
**runs screaming from room**
pphillipp, get down off that taxi this INSTANT!
That song was just SUCH a given I felt silly mentioning it.
I mean, did I need to mention Hot Lunch Jam, too?!?!
You guys are a riot.
Welcome to the panel, Alec.
"Stunning" AND modest, what more can we possibly ask for?
Oh wow. Fame... Brilliant! I sing the Body Electric; I celebrate the me yet to come.
I don't remember anything about that movie.
I don't know what a "singlet" is.
