Who was your favorite entry and why?
There are a lot of small entries that I really like, but my favorite is Luca's Surplus of Storage and Light. The furniture is great, I love the room divider (with a rotating tv - hidden : the best place), the brick and the white walls, and the finish seems to be of great quality.

Really cool, i love the use of strong photography

I love the white paint on the old beams, and the general sense that you're walking around in a planar version of a cloud.

It was great to see more pics of this place. I love how the white really showcases the art. Speaking of, where is the photo of the woman from?

this place is amazing, totally complete and well thought-out design. which, makes the wire hanger sculpture all the more unfortunate and out-of-place.

I know I've said it before, but this is beyond spectacular. This space isn't decorated; every inch of it is designed with purpose and clear vision. It might not be "warm" or "homey, " but who cares when you deal with something of this caliber. Pure perfection - I wouldn't change a thing.

Thank you Nicholas, i'm glad you liked my apartment.
I love yours...Great art everywhere.
Who is the artist of the back-lit painting above the wooden console (shown in the picture after the bathroom)?

I can't get enough of this space!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE
I've never felt such lust for a shower stall before. Those tiles! Sigh...
(And it absolutely feels "warm" and "lived in" to me.)

I think its an amazing looking space, but I never really saw an area where you can relax. You know, plop down on something comfortable and read a book, watch TV, etc. Also would have liked to have seen more of the kitchen.

I like this a lot more than the first time around, as it shows a few more personal touches than before, but it's still a bit cold for my liking. What you've done with the physical space is gorgeous, though, and airiness(?) is perfect for the sleeping area.

Gorgeous space, seems more like a gallery space than a home--it's my home in a parallel, uncluttered universe.

Gorgeous bathroom wall tile! Great upstairs flooring integrated into the support surface. I love the danger of no railings - it's funny how no one seems to be complaining about it here.
One question though - can you do seated dining? I like the space, but for being as attractive as it is, it's hard to imagine having six or eight friends over to hang out for dinner. Unless there are a stack of folding chairs hanging in the wine cellar to line up around a cleaned off office table...
This is my favorite entry which is funny because it satisfies none of my priorities - simple constant cooking and serving dinners to 8-10 people. Vive la différence!

My favorite of all the entries. I just love this space. It reminds me that we don't need a lot of stuff in our lives. Great job!

Small and cool. This is what the contest should be about.

Not my sort of space. But I love the hanging art with the wire hangers- that is genius.

Hello everyone, thanks for your comments!
Jennifer : the photo is by Jacques Olivar (you can check the site 'lumas.com'). The woman is not Jane Fonda, but really looks like her!
Luca : the work over the credenza is from two french artists working in Brussels, I can give you more information if you're interested... It's made of 750 backlit little mirrors.
Easyenough : I can have up to six friends for dinner, I have a few vintage unmatched chairs in the cellar for the occasion!
And for the tallguy, the couch is very confortable :-)
Nicolas.

I haven't seen most of the entries yet. I'm thrilled that a place this minimalistic won! It's very strong.
