So wait, there's no longer a time when we get to see more shots of the contenders? Didn't it used to go, there was some preliminary voting, then aa break while those still standing got to show us more of their apartments? Or am I thinking of something else?

Not what I expected. At all. But congrats to the winners.

Not what I expected either. I like the tiny winner though- very cute space.

Like beamish, I was also under the impression there would be more photos of the finalists' homes. Some of those who entered even made mention of it in the comments.

I agree as well that I would have liked more photos of the finalists like in previous small/cool contests.

Congrats to the winners! I particularly love the 'small' winners apartment - their place is gorgeous and use of color just stunning. Also, it looks like they've got space for more furniture, and can put the prize money to good use. (There is a certain irony in giving furniture prizes for a small apartment contest - when I lived in 600 sq ft or less, the last thing I wanted was more furniture.)

I gotta say, I thought there were way stronger contenders in the teeny-tiny division though. No offense meant to the winner - clearly my opinion is a minority view. I just didn't get all the white.

This was the first Small Cool contest I experienced, and I loved it! Definitely a great feature of AT.

I already can't wait for the next one!

I would actually say the opposite from Matilde- I think Kevin made remarkably creative use of his VERY limited space, and totally deserves to be recognized for his design. The "small" apartment is, in my opinion, cluttered, unfocused, and overdecorated with predictable products. It's a fun and interesting space, and congrats to Matthew and Chloe, but I did think there were many more interesting spaces in that category. I'm kind of shocked.

I found this whole thing very confusing, so, I hope I got my votes right either way.. like the places they all have a uniqueness about them

None of the ones I voted for won :/

Some of my criteria... There need to be SOME space around the bed... please no hanging chairs from the ceiling...

I haven't been keeping up with the contest, at all, but in looking at the finalists I am totally thinking "Really?" Not too impressive or interesting or spacefabulous to me. Nice, for sure, but not really the type that I would consider to be finalists. Maybe there were not superific entries this year??
