What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? Finding elements that coordinate without being too matchy-matchy! I took my time and waited to come across things I like in time and I used Apartment Therapy, Domino and Elle Decor for ideas, as well as my artist friends' input.

I wish there were a way of getting the disco ball effect without actually having a disco ball.

Great little apartment. I love the disco balls, too. I wish I had direct light coming into my bedroom to get that effect.

I love the apartment! The disco balls are awesome, I love the dots everywhere. I would love to do something like that but I don't think my boyfriend would approve... Just curious, does it ever blind you? I noticed that you have some items from Ikea... is the couch from there too? I believe I have the same one if that's the case... it's quite comfortable for how cute and cheap it is! We took our arm cushions off and just replaced them with cute pillows.

Major thumbs up!

Lafferteezy - thanks! - and no it doesn't blind me, I only get sun in the right angle for a couple of hours and honestly I just wish it would stay longer 'cause I love having the dots around, they make me happy! Yes the couch is Ikea and it's so damn comfy for a couch so cheap! Taking off the arm cushions could actually make it bigger so I will try that - good tip! Thank you all for the thumbs up!

I like the reflections from the disco balls splashing faerie dust over the place. It's really an amazingly interesting, unifying effect, kind of like varnish on a painting.

Love the disco balls! You get my vote just for that! by the way, love all your artwork and the arrangement of your desk. The wall color in the living room is lovely too...any info as to what it is would be greatly appreciated..since I'm looking paint soon.

Suzy8track - the color in the living room is Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray (HC-170) - and if you need a darker accent color which I used only on the wall behind my bed, it's B.M. Galveston Gray (AC-27).

Alisaan - I do not recall exactly where I bought the Eames-style soft-pad desk chair from, which had a really good price, but here's one site I found the same one on: http://www.inmod.com/suexch.html

Hope these help - and tesekkurler New York Muhtari :-)

Although I liked the art placement on the walls, 4 pics of the same room are simply too many for an appreciation of your whole home. I also wonder where you keep papers etc and whether you can concentrate while working with the disco ball effect all around.

@Lady J - where did you find the 4" mirror balls? I really like this effect and totally want to steal (err draw inspiration) from it. ;)

I also loooove the desk. Where is it from?

@tulpoeid - the reason i don't have enough pics of the other rooms is that i was informed about 'Small Cool' the very last day and I had only a couple of hours to come up with the photos and the floor plans so everything happened very quickly - and I didn't want to put up photos of the bedroom bookcase where I have my books and boxes on a leaning-shelf unit across the wall from my bed while it was a bit messy and i didn't have time to tidy it up for a photo. I also wanted to take pics of the kitchen and the bathroom which I love very much, but it was night time and they look their best in daylight. As for the papers, I keep what I need in the two drawers my desk has in the front, and the rest in canvas boxes on my wall unit in the bedroom. And finally, the dots do not distract from work at all, if anything, I look at them and smile once in a while :-) It's not a 'dizzy'ing effect at all, it's softer than it may look.

@Audemars - The desk is Parsons Desk from West Elm, and you may find various-sized mirror balls at epartyunlimited.com
