The Nomade Express sofa sleeper is the most popular sofa bed in the Ligne Roset collection — it's a simple and classic design that delivers comfort as both a bed and a sofa.
The look of the Nomade Express is definitively futon-esque — it is the high quality of materials, craftmanship and smooth transitioning parts that set it apart (that, and about $4,000).
The transition process is fairly intuitive and the most difficult aspect is flipping the mattress. There are zippers to hold the mattress/cushion in place — but we found them to be rather tedious to use.
So what sets the Nomade Express apart? Comfort and the hundreds of upholstery options available from Ligne Roset — plus with proper care, this should last a long, long time.
Upholstery covers can be removed for dry cleaning (including the cotton cover on the reverse side of the mattress/cushion).

My friend has this sofa in his guest/TV room it is worth every penny so well made, super comfortable and looks great.

It does look comfortable, though my attention is drawn to that strange chair sculpture (?) in that first picture.

Hmmm. Looks like a futon. Blue Dot's "One Night Stand" is still #1 with me.

$4150?? Wow. The sofabed is nice, but it's hardly that amazing.

The casual mattress look that works so well for the Nomade sofa doesn't quite do it for me in the Nomade Express... I think the legs are the problem, for me, maybe? But if cost weren't an object it would be a good sofa bed solution anyway.

Laughing Tiger - you're a scream!! I once worked with Annie Leibovitz and that's exactly what she did. The shots were all out of focus and she said, "It's supposed to look that way." It was a product shot! You never shoot the product out of focus!!!!

I have a Nomade Express "FRAME BED ONLY" for sale if someone wants it. I had the covers taken off to have cleaned and it got ruined, now all I have is the structure with now covers :( I think re-ordering a new cover starts at about $1,500. There is a 4 month wait from France for the new cover.
