Contemporary furniture abounds at this local shop Utah shop, Manhattan Loft. Our favorite is the Kiss leather platform bed, which would be great for a studio apartment, functioning as a bed, seating area, and small laptop workspace.

They also have some "loft design tips" on the site. The shop is in Utah, but they ship nationwide. (thanks for the tip, Ryan!)

i can see how it's a nice idea, but if it's really a bed, i mean, it's going to have to be a really firm mattress, or it's just going to turn squishy/unsupportive fast if people are always sitting on the same end.

it's a great concept...anybody know about a cheaper version that does about the same thing?

OK, not only are they selling rip-offs of the Blu Dot Modulicious and Dodu beds (and stealing images from the Blu Dot site), they are charging MORE than the originals!

Yeah, that's awfully suspicious. Even their photos of their "Shea bed" (which rips off the Dodu) has "DODU" in their URL!

I'm fairy sure it's the Blu Dot bed they're selling. Just for $230 more than Blu Dot has it for on their web page. The descriptions are almost exactly the same on both websites.
