AT Survey: How's It Going?

1-19-sunrise.jpgIs it just us, or does today feel different and really good to you?

Could it be that we're locked in a caffeine bubble? Or... could it be that it's Thursday? Could it be that it's sunny? Could it be that it's finally cold (as it should be)? How are you?

YUCK. It's snowing and freezing here. I am pretty sure we're moving to San Diego within the next few months, but it's not soon enough!!

It's not sunny on 23rd Street anymore. And my day got off to an awful start. Woke up after 8:30, ran toward the bathroom, ran into my desk, knocked over the 50 lb. door sitting on it, barely caught it before it hit the floor, failed to catch everything else that it pushed off the desk...

But I'm humming along now.

It finally stopped being cold and snowy here in Seattle and now it's raining. I never thought I'd say this but I'm glad the rain is back. It's much more familiar.

We just bought a lovely old mahogany sideboard last night (a craigslist find) and got it all set up in the living room this morning. So my day is going great, thanks for asking.

I think I just saw snow flurries outside my window! They are gone now.

funny you should post about today being especially different and good... it is my birthday, and we'll chalk it up to that!

It's gorgeous here in Boston, work is going great today and the city dwellers seem to be in a less-surly mood than usual. I think I may be trapped inside that same caffeine bubble, but I don't mind a bit.

Hello Maxwell,

It’s beautiful in NY, as you are aware. It’s funny because the most depressing day of the year from a scientific standpoint is supposed to be next week. Generally, before we get to that day, many people begin a downward spiral. Today I only see happy people. All is wonderful, despite an overcast sky.

I just did a quick poll in my office and everyone is reporting feeling better than normal. Are we somewhat telepathic where we are all sensing each others moods and in turn feeling better in general? Or is it something in the air? It’s not Spring yet. Ah . . . who knows!

I agree it is an amazing day and I haven’t felt this good in months. I don't know why or what it is but I hope it stays.

much better today than yesterday. the day began yesterday with a 6am wake-up, going into the kitchen to make coffee and finding two mice stuck to glue traps! after my husband and i dealt with that bizarre scenario, i was on edge and forgot to wear a hat and had a bone-chilling cold feeling all day.

today i added a hat and my long-sleeve silk thermal top and it is amazing what a difference these two additions made to my mood. i think i need overcast, winter days like this.

obviously none of you work at Time Inc. where 250+ people just lost their jobs. The mood around here is depressing.
