I bought the exact same convertible desk from West Elm a couple of years ago, except it flipped out the opposite way.

the convertible compact desk packs the most bang in the smallest space though aesthetically, compared with the other 2, it looks a little block-like. I absolutely love the idea for a home office.

Man, I wish I could afford the first one. I just moved a sofa out of my bedroom and now need a desk/table to do some crafting/painting... But everything is so expensive, just to spill paint on!

I saw the Convertible Compact Desk this weekend when I got the catalog and immediately fell in love with it! If only it was more compatible with my budget...

i agree- the CCD is the best. if only the price was more compact- anyone know of one similar for less?

Keep an eye on pier one...they have a similar desk as the compact and aren't afraid to mark things waaaaay down. give it time and they will mark it way down.
