Turned legs supporting glass tops. Now, that's something we haven't seen before. GRACE is a collection of tables and shelves designed by Robert Austin Gonzalez.
The legs of each piece are of turned wood, which is left completely natural or finished in a glossy lacquer. The sculptural furniture is made in limited editions and by commission.
Gonzalez, based in Brooklyn, is a designer who originally led R.A.G.E. design. -regina

I thought this was a coffee table at first (which I LOVE the idea of), but turns out it's a dining table ... gorgeous craftsmanship, but I don't think I'd like the tops popping up out of the corners of a dining table, myself ... seems like they would get in the way and you'd always be bumping your elbows or something. ;-)
fabulous! i'm surprised no one has thought of this before. so pristinely clean and elegant. i love it!
I'd think it might be awkward to put a table cloth on, but seriously there's no need to put a table cloth on a glass table.
I think that this is quite beautiful and would be quite perfect in a pre-war space where a modern aesthetic was desired.
It would be a great way to reconcile styles.
Now that is so HOT it's making my socks roll up and down! Agreed that the finials are too high for a dining table, but it would look just as hot with legs that just screwed into a base under the glass, leaving the top free and clear.
A tablecloth would hide the legs, so no way! If anything, a runner perhaps.

Nice form, bad function.
