Lovers' Breakfast Table

12.10.lovers_breakfast.jpg

Look at this snug little Lovers' Breakfast Table at Amazon UK. The space-saving table is fitted with two chairs that close in tight around the tabletop and base...

The chair seats are even notched in around the base of the table. We don't find this available in the US, but we still wanted to share the efficient little design with you.

What a great idea. Now why didn't I think of that?

This a small, adorable interpretation of the same idea we saw in the Smallest, Coolest Contest not too long ago. Might have even been the winner, if I recall correctly.

Ikea has a similarly designed table meant for four. The chairs weren't that comfortable, but they'd suffice for quick meals!

I'm actually kind of creeped out by it, but I'm not sure why.

@brittanykate "I think it's the word LOVERS" it's like... icky reminds me of the a will ferrel sketch

I've definitely seen this on Houston street at one of those futon stores just east of 7th ave, and at a place in the USQ area.

This is a great concept. Now if a designer could get the aesthetics right, I'd buy one. The chair legs and the legs' finish are just tacky. Looks like the Jetsons. But like I said, GREAT CONCEPT!

I saw this at a friend's place, so it is definitely available in North America, I'm just not sure where from.
