A small round table can be the perfect solution to breaking up the hard angles of a small space. A little over two feet in diameter, the glass-topped MELBU table is categorized as a bedside table by IKEA. While we prefer a bedside table with closed storage options, a pair of MELBUs could be used as a coffee table to give a living room a modern update...

$70 for something they classify as a nightstand seems a little steep, by ikea standards. but repurposed in the living room... maybe. not a huge fan of the black glass, though...

I saw this in person last week, and I really liked the size and shape, and black glass, but wasn't a huge fan of the plasticky bottom shelf.

Comparing 2 Ikea tables to 1 R&B table roughly the same size and saying it's only $39 more is completely unfair. While I do think this is a little pricey for Ikea I would say it's more accurate to say that it's $109 cheaper and an excellent compromise for someone interested in the R&B table.

Nice revisionist math, bepsf.
I don't think $70 is that far out of the Ikea table range.
