Dear AT,
I love to entertain with dinner parties, but unfortunately my tiny NYC apartment doesn't allow for a dining room table.
I hate to see my friends with plates of delicious food on their laps.
Seeing your post about these adjustable tables from Pottery Barn Teens gave me an idea to use them as mini-tables for each of my guests, however, I don't have the space to keep multiple.
Wouldn't it be great if they could fit into each other as one colorful side table?
Do you have any idea where I might be able to buy something like this? Thanks! Sam

these are stackable:

The RIAN table linked above by polkadot is great; my mother has two and they look and function far better than their $12.99 price tag would lead you to believe.
On the other end of the price spectrum, I love love LOVE these Josef Albers table. Sigh. Perhaps not tall enough to really eat off of, but beautiful enough to make hunching over worth it.

not as pretty! though way cheaper.... you could put the pb ones face to face at different heights and stack them in 2's, or even 3's
could you use them as a landing strip? or bedside table, or side table when guests arent around?
They look relatively light - perhaps you could use hooks to hang them on a wall somehow. Didnt AT have a link in recent time to some society lady loft apartment where she had a bunch of chairs hanging from the cieling, and it looked very arty (as well as practical)
you might also be able to stack these if you put them on top of each other alternating side/front/side/back, kinda like a jenga tower. Go see them in person and find out....

What you need are a set of vintage TV tray tables...
