Sun Table by Brooklyn's Sudia Design Labs

What a smart use of outdoor tablespace. This is the Sun Table, created by Devang A. Shah and Michael Low of Sudia Design Labs out of Brooklyn. It's an outdoor table with a top that is also a solar panel. That panel collects and stores energy that can be reused by household electronics.

Says the designer of the Sun Table: A product that pushes people to spend more time outdoors will be beneficial for humanity. Let's get rooted in nature again, even if it's in a 21st century kind of way.

The Sun Table will be available next March through Sudia's store and will be priced at $3600, including shipping. (Via: Treehugger.)

This is a serious "duh" moment. Why has no one thought of this before?? I do question the price though. Would be better received if it was as financially efficient as it is energy efficient.
