The Mascotte Table

Super convertible. We were tipped off to the Mascotte transformable coffee/dining table and just had to blog it. While there are a few tables that sit at coffee table height and then lift up for dining, this one also opens up (2x area) to really make a substantial dining table. What a great idea huh ? This table is currently selling for $695 at a store called "Straight from the Crate" they have 6 locations in New York City.

i really need something like this for my smaller than tiny apartment. but, ah well, the price is a little too high for my student budget. :( does anyone know of anything similar and cheaper?
