Inkblot Dinner Plates by Kathleen Walsh

03.04.inkblot.jpg

We slinked to these Inkblot Dinner Plates back when they first came out. But we wanted to highlight them here, given our theraputic leanings...

The plates, designed by Kathleen Walsh, are made of Japanese porcelain and are available with the edge text in black or gold. Text on the plate reads as follows:

a) "1% - an outlaw biker rides alone, his destiny remains uncertain"
b) "compassion among species - 2 altruistic butterflies fly 2 injured field mice to safety"
c) "dueling roosters - 2 roosters engage in staring competition, there will be only 1 winner"
d) "an unlikely event - 1 winged porcine creature stands poised at the edge of a reflective pool"

$180 for a set of four.

Ooh... those would be fun to have if it wasn't for the price tag.
