Mielito Honey Pots by Bosa

09.19.mielito.jpg

Our grandfather was a beekeeper and we remember that he always had honey on his tabletop in a lidded glass container. It held one of those wooden honey wands. These Meilito honey pots are much more stylish and we wonder if grandpa would have liked them.

This new version is ceramic and sells for $40 at A + Store. We still like the quaint wooden wand but we do prefer this to squeezy honey bears.

I was disappointed to see that these are honey pots. At first I thought these were cool modern toilet brushes.

I though they were those tools that you use to suck the shnots out of little kids noses.

I like these a lot, especially with the color accent on the end of the handle.

Sleek and stylish too. Pretty enough to keep on the table.

Agree with Archie, the shape reminds me of unappetizing purposes.

This doesn't look like it would hold very much honey. I think it's maybe 2 days worth of honey - if that. I'll stick with my bear. (I eat a lot of honey.)

This looks like that snot / ear wax sucker my mom used to use. Gross.

That design is just all wrong for honey. The shot of the honey dripping looks like lube.

I also thought it was a toilet brush. And alas, the honey does look like lube. Weird!

1. Jar too small.
2. The wide "ferrule" above the corrugated "honey collector" prevents the user from inserting the wand any further than the point where the ferrule meets the opening of the jar. So you can't clean out the jar with the wand and you have to refill the jar way before it is empty.
