Introducing Deborah Bowness and Steve Butcher at Spring

Check out the current curated show of artists and designers out at Spring, an exhibition space and design shop in Dumbo. Bowness makes hand printed wall papers (and apparently won the “best in show” wall paper category at the recent ICFF) and Steve Butcher is making these great “paint by number” constructed line paintings.

You can pin up three or four rolls of the paper (each unique, in this case) like below. Generally speaking, one roll costs about $240 (and they are super long, so work in high-ceilinged spaces)

The book shelves below were the winners at ICFF. Here they are installed at Spring.

I like this little guitar from a commission for the Polydor Records offices.

And here are some of Steve Butcher's paintings...gotta love those stripes (colors all organized and numbered, a la paint by numbers.)
