The different contexts produces a satisfying range of tensions for viewers to enjoy – from head-scratching double-takes to abject terror. These are photographs, often taken OF the artist swimming with his sharkfin head-gear – and sometimes taken by the artist of a friend playing the part of the fin. I think they are beautiful, and a howl.

Recently he’s also learned to shape his own surfboards, embellishing them with images from his earlier series of fish photography (ornamental fresh water and salt-water fish too - see below).

The fish photos are mounted between UV-Plexiglas and Sintra with a wood brace. Some are also available as a mounted 40 x 50 c-print. Prices start at $1200 for the sharks and go up to $3600 for the larger fish photos, and are about 6 –7,000 for surfboards and the long backlit photos. Many editions are almost sold out.
